Been dealing with a recent issue with Gene in regards to bowel movements. Specifically him puking his food up. He did it one Monday about an hour after eating his wet food, where he puked the entire meal up, and then I came home today to find a small amount of puked up dry on the carpet which I’m assuming was from him. I’m really hoping it’s nothing and these two events are just a fluke, but I’m keeping my eye on him. Other than that he’s been his usual self of getting into my business and waking me up shortly after finishing his automatically dispensed 4 AM meal demanding more. If he were keeping a distance or laying around not being active I’d be more worried that something big was wrong. Even after he puked Monday later that night I gave him a small amount of dry food which he ate without issue, so I dunno.
Aisha’s been fine, thankfully.
Replayed Ys VI over on twitch the past couple of days. Managed to beat it under 8 hours just about. That game continues to be a lot of fun. At some point I should continue that Oath in Felghana replay I started last year on stream, too. Or pick Ys 7 back up, which I started last year and also fell off, though I mostly blame having just come off of Ys X and beying Ys’sed out at the moment.
In other news: the second issue of The Anime Herald is out now, which contains a full page comic of Kat! Or, more specifically, an ad FOR Kat, but in the form of a full page comic! The physical edition hasn’t been shipped yet but I saw a photo of a printed proof with the ad in it and man is it cool to look at. Almost feels like a legit comic! If you like articles about anime/anime fandom/industry stuff I highly recommend checking it out. I bought the first issue when it came out and there was a lot of great articles in it, such as ones about Carl Macek and ruminating on the past two decades of anime podcasting with Daryl Surat. Issue 2 has articles the loss of the OVA and Amazon’s AI dubbing bullshit.

If my friend were hanging out and getting drunk instead of apologizing to his friend, I’d seriously be pissed off too.
He has no points. He’s being a sad loser and only thinking about how he hurt her, not what he could do to fix it.
When I hurt my friend in an argument, not apologizing or taking for granted that she’d automatically forgive me would be douchebag behavior. It’s only his feelings, then he’s not repairing things.
The fact that Doris left without giving him a chance to apologize means nothing? Or the fact that he clearly felt uneasy about the whole deal and would definitely get in touch with Doris next day if not for this drunk bitch crashing into his place and dragging him along? And may I inquire since when unintentionally ticking off your friend and feeling bad about it became WORSE than physical violence, you hypocrite?????
Oh, and did you miss the part where Owen DOES NOT get drunk (unlike the hypocritical bitch who BROKE INTO HIS HOUSE. DRUGGED HIM OUT OF BED, and now DARES TO USE PHYSICAL VIOLENCE AGAINST HIM)?
Owen made it sound like he was passing the buck onto Madison for his inaction that night, which is why she Bright Noa’d him.
He didn’t. He simply rebutted her accusations of getting drunk and partying. And, if I may inquire, would you be so casual about it if the roles here were reversed?
Owen knows Madison would never intentionally seriously hurt him as shown a few pages ago when Mads pulled a gun on him and he didn’t flinch and teased her over it. She’s a hyped up cat who loves Owen and he can withstand her rough play. If things seriously got out of hand he could easily put an end to it. He’s not being abused.
Drunk or not, that would have cost you a friendship. I’m not sure if the shift to the non-serious style was the right move.

That she came to drink doesn’t have anything to do with her legit caring when her friend hurts someone and doesn’t apologize.
So, you’re ok with beating your friends or throwing sharp things at them? You’re a fucking psycho.
Frankly, if Owen had tried to chase after Doris to apologize she likely would have blown up at him again. At best. At worst she’d have locked him out and refused to respond, possibly ruining their friendship outright. Giving her a chance to cool off and trying again tomorrow is a safe call to make. Mads, meanwhile, is promoting a much riskier play that has a high chance of backfiring when she doesn’t know Doris as well as Owen does.
Also, about the above abuse thing? Simply being able to put a stop to it doesn’t mean the person *will* put a stop to it. Many, many people who are physically capable of ending their abuse aren’t willing to do so for a variety of factors, so this argument doesn’t hold water. Mads is directly accusing Owen of the very things she is directly responsible for and lashing out when he tells her she’s wrong. That’s fucked up.
Finally, rough play requires proper consent. And you can’t consent when you’re drunk.
All that being said, I’m perfectly happy with this plot point, but that’s if and only if Mads gets consequences for it. She made a mistake. She needs to admit it, apologize, and possibly offer some restitution or attempt at self improvement. Having characters make mistakes and need to learn from them makes them more interesting as people than characters that don’t.
Please don’t apply real world logic and expectations on Madison. She’s a cartoon character in a cartoon world acting as an agent of chaos to force Owen into action in a way that’s over the top for comedic entertainment purposes. She’s my fun chaotic lawful gremlin bitch who I’ve wanted to bring back after four years of absence.
