Between Chapter Break – Mehga Playing With Gene and Aisha

Salutations! For this week’s drawing I drew an accurate representation of Gene wanting my attention to play that I go through just about every single morning. All the mornings. Never a morning does this not happen. It varies in time but it always happens. Though a lot of times he’ll crawl under my blanket with me and lay down next to me for about 10-15 minutes before noping out and going off to do whatever. But yeah, he has a habit of waking me up way before my alarm goes off.

Aisha meanwhile sleeps soundly at the foot of my bed without causing any sort of disturbance. The moment I climb into bed to sleep she INSTANTLY jumps up, comes up for pets for a bit, then makes her way to her corner of the bed and plops down for the night.

Anyway I have been sociable this week! On Sunday I went to this thing briefly at the Dallas Museum of Arts to check out drawings by the DFW Doodle Club, which I was invited to join by a neighbor at my apartment complex. Afterward I decided to go to to one of the actual get togethers on Monday. It was swell. Truth be told I only talked to the few people around my table, but I’m thinking other weeks I can go to other tables and talk to more people. The person who invited me wasn’t there this past monday but she’s gonna be there next week so maybe I’ll meet more people through her!

Also are Old Fashions not wells drinks? I tried getting something off the happy hour menu but they charged like $10 instead of what was supposed to be like $5? Maybe I read the menu wrong? I dunno. I figure I’d get a drink each time I go but fuck paying $10 each week. I can get two cans of this awesome Austin Eastciders Tropical Punch 24oz can at my apartment’s bodega for like $4 each and drink it right then and there and still come out ahead! Except I wouldn’t actually do that.

I instead drink one can which gets me plenty tipsy. I’m a light weight, I know. But 8.3% alcohol content is pretty decent for $4. And it’s tasty!

Meant to watch that new Gundam series from a few months back while I had Amazon Prime via a trial but I wound up NOT doing that. WHOOPS! And my trial ends in a few days. Guess I’ll punt it to later. Instead I popped in Mon Colle Knights (Japanese audio disc) and started watching that again. Fun kids show.

I also watched that Knuckles show from last year. It was a show alright. Very there. Though I have no idea why nobody did anything about Wade’s sister literally stabbing him in the fucking arm with a fork. Like, fork stuck in his arm jetting out stabbed. Like the poor guy is screaming bloody murder because it hurts so goddamn much. And his mom does fuck all? He just goes to his room afterward? Is it supposed to be played for laughs? I get cartoon violence but just reaching across the table to fucking stab a sibling with a fork because you’re the stereotypical piece of shit sibling seems a bit much to me?

Also they went to fucking Ice Cap Cabins. Named after Ice Cap Zone. A show that uses so much goddamn 80s music and they didn’t play FUCKING HARD TIMES BY THE JETZONS!!! WHAT THE FUCK?! WHY?! IT’S RIGHT FUCKING THERE! IT’S 80’s MUSIC YOU HAVE SUCH A GODDAMN HARDON FOR, KNUCKLES THE ECHIDNA SHOW STARRING WADE THE HUMAN! FUCK SEND ME AN ANGEL. FUCKING HARD TIMES!
