This week’s drawing was based off itstoearly’s suggestion! I thought the idea was fun. I was too lazy with coming up with a new outfit for her so I went with the one she showed up in chapter 2 as I thought it was cute.
My apartment started a art club that had its first meeting tonight. Somehow I managed to convince myself to go and be sociable instead of taking a nap when I come home from work like I usually do. I wasn’t sure what to expect so I brought the ol ipad to do comic work on the off chance it was this small thing where everyone sorta did their own thing. When reading the description there wasn’t much in the way of specifics, being this sort of catch all for any sort of art.
Anyway I managed to be sociable and talked to people! Fucking crazy, right? It helped that I had a frozen margarita beforehand to loosen me up. I met someone there who also brought up a doodle club called the DFW DoodleClub that meets up once a week and are having a gallery at the Dallas Museum of Arts starting on October 12th. I figure I’ll check out the gallery first before just walking up to the regular gatherings like some random stranger going “y’all like 90s Japanese cartoons?”
Anyway I’m currently dealing with imposter syndrome and all that after coming back from the club, so I’m gonna go to the store and buy myself a treat as a reward for getting out there and meeting people. Laters!

I would understand “my apartment” as the place where you live, synonymous with “my flat”, a collection of a couple rooms that you own/rent. But then you say you went there, so what does it actually mean?
I’m assuming she means it as “apartment complex”. As in, the building or a collection of apartment buildings.
That’s how I interpret it, anyway. Your interpretation of the word is how we do it here in Brasil as well. If it’s just one home in a building, we call it the apartment. If the building, we call it a building. And if it’s a collection of apartment building, we call it a gated community. But clearly, all those mean different things in english.
