Bodysuit 23 #884

August 13th, 2025

Short blog this week as not much happened and I’m pretty tired. Tried going to sleep when I got home from work so I could get up in the middle of the night to work, but shortly before going to bed I pulled my back and have been in pain ever since. It’s slowly getting better but for a while it hurt something awful! Getting old sure does suck! Worse was I wasn’t even doing anything! Just sitting in my chair eating dinner, and BOOM! Intense back pain!

My supervisor is taking Friday off from work, so seems like Hell Week will be starting then. Not sure how long she’ll be taking next week off from work, but I’m placing my bets for at least Monday – Wednesday.

I’ll catch y’all next week! Later!

Hey, dunno if you already noticed this or not, but isn’t this chapter supposed to be patreon only right now? it currently seems to be fully public

      Fixed. Thanks.

      1. Emily says:

        no problem

  2. Angyfemby says:

The “Huh” killed me, Dorris really just stumbled into realizing she’s trans.

    1. Emily says:

as she has with most things honestly

    2. Polish Patriot says:

Doris isn’t necessarily trans, Kevin/Doris could be more genderfluid, or treat the two as separate characters, or just a crossdresser.

      1. Mithril Mercenary says:

You are reading a comic by a trans author.
        Keep huffing that copium.

        1. Polish Patriot says:

I’ve read a lot of books written by trans people, including some about skinsuits, so I know they don’t always reduce their characters to transsexuality. Most of them separate the characters from each other so they don’t reduce these stories to “Transgender is the answer to everything.”

        2. Gilded Guerilla says:

@MM Funny you should say that, _you also_ are reading a comic by a trans author. You might be projecting.
I think Polish is right. I think Kevin is still in the indecision phase, personally, and this new knowledge is bringing the questions to the surface, not the answers. There’s no need for us to be answering the questions for him, aside from theory-crafting. And besides, true allies accept whatever a questioning person decides, right? Even if the answer is ultimately “no”?

      2. Avatar photo Emily says:

genderfluid is under the trans umbrella is it not?

also the narrative is clearly building towards doris not just being a Crossdresser, but actually being trans

        1. Polish Patriot says:

No, gender fluid is a person who has phases where they feel more feminine or more masculine, but there is usually no need to change gender, especially since these phases can have a high frequency of changes.
And from the very beginning of the series, the author pointed to grederfluid and crossdressing rather than sexuality, because if it was a transsexual character, we would have more psychologically figure out the problems with the “wrong body” than stupid Kevin in Doris’s body.
If you want something about real transsexuality, read comedian Rain Jocelyn on DA, that way you have a real storyline of a character thinking about transitioning.

          1. Emily says:

first off its Transgender, not Transexual, and secondly dysphoria with their assigned gender is not a requirement to being trans, only euphoria with the gender they prefer

thirdly while yes the story at large has focused on the explanation that Doris just likes crossdressing, this current chapter and storyline is pretty explicitly saying that “no that isn’t it”

if she were genderfluid or even had any attachment to being a male you’d expect her to have some issues with being a girl for 3 months now, but none have arrised

          2. Samantha says:

@PolishPatriot, this is pretty accurate, yes.

“first off its Transgender, not Transexual, and secondly dysphoria with their assigned gender is not a requirement to being trans, only euphoria with the gender they prefer, thirdly while yes the story at large has focused on the explanation that Doris just likes crossdressing, this current chapter and storyline is pretty explicitly saying that “no that isn’t it”

if she were genderfluid or even had any attachment to being a male you’d expect her to have some issues with being a girl for 3 months now, but none have arrised.”

Why do I feel like @Emily is mansplaining? Ummmm, being a genderfluid person myself, I can safely say that’s crap. I have gone for months and without being a certain gender. Not all genderfluid people have a strong feeling of dysphoria if they don’t present as female (or present as male). It just feels better. Except of an aversion to masking (covering your face itself is gross), if I could wear a body suit for months and months, I would have no problem with it. I had a part time job presenting as a woman. I eventually got fired, but I had no problems with being female four or five times a week. Then everything shut down for COVID, and I was mostly male because there was nowhere to go and nothing to do.

          3. Emily says:

            @samantha

fair enough, i’m not expert on genderfluidity, and i’ll admit my reply was definitely made too defensively, and led to me explaining something i have little experience in, for which i apologize

      3. Niazure says:

        genderfluid is still trans

      4. epsilon says:

because kevin dont see doris as its own individual i see it more as drag queen, kevin unkowily is playing a character, he is cosplaying a gender not living it, because at the end of the day he can just remove the sit and get back to kevi. he is not crossdressing to see himself as his own female self, he is just playing as this cute blonde girl that did not even had a name for half the story

    3. Samantha says:

Well this is like the same era as El Goonish Shive. Ted pretty much thought “trans” was fanservice stuff where boys become girls.

@PolishPatriot About to say that about genderfluid.

@MithrilMercenary I’m a genderfluid author who decided not to transition. Some of my characters transition, some don’t like me. Not all stories follow a path.

  3. They Who Abide says:

Owen, no! The Prime Directive, they have to figure it out themselves!

    1. You are not alone says:

The Prime Directive is overrated, smash that egg! Plus, our MC is dense as hell, a little push is likely welcome.

Also, Owen is not pushing the idea that Doris is trans, but assuming they are and already knew it. To me, its only bad when a person pushes the idea that someone is trans onto another person against their wishes.

    2. Emily says:

honestly Doris does need the assist, even if it violates the prime directive

  4. I'm a cat, Meow :3 says:

Doris being the most egg™ and only now realising it… honestly, it’s kinda cute. we support you, Doris

  5. Mattihase says:

if a picture can say a thousand words, doris’s expressions on this page make for an epic of a poem. love it.

  6. casually chaotic says:

im so looking forward to the next couple chapteres. ive loved this comic since the beginning and still do to this day :3

  7. ashenashley says:

god, the expression that Dorris has here is so good. I can’t wait to see how her egg will be cracked in the following pages

  8. SoundsKindaGayBro says:

    Bwuh?!

  9. thia says:

omg I loveee this soooo much I can’t wait for this full peak ark

  10. Susen says:

Owen dropped a freaking nuke on doris
