I mean…Kevin needs to hear this. He has been lying. If Elaine is truly his best friend…this will still hurt, but the wound will heal. But Elaine is almost certainly more forgiving/understanding than Angela.
I dunno, I think Miranda is being a bit unfair. Everyone keeps secrets. Without exception. And "I found a piece of top secret government technology and have been playing with it for fun" is really one of those things that is much more reasonable to keep secret compared to other things.
It’d be like if you discovered someone in your friend’s WoW guild was actually a mutual RL friend and confronting them like this. "How could you not tell our friend that you are one of their guildmates?? Friends are supposed to TRUST each other!"
Like, come on. If he was doing something in the Doris personality that actually hurt Elaine in a real way, like pulling pranks on her safe in the knowledge that he can’t be blamed for it, then that would be a violation of trust. But being offended that he didn’t blow government secrets to his friends is just unreasonable.
Yes, she goes into the melodramatic "I can’t trust you about anything if you wouldn’t share classified government secrets with us!"
Really, the issue she has appears to just be the existence of the secret it’s self, not nearly so much anything he did that could be construed as malicious.
You actually make a really good point, Changer. Kevin even explained he intends to ‘get rid of Doris’ at the earliest possibility. I still think at this point he should tell Elaine, but still…there’s a lot of reasons to keep this kind of thing secret.
Well, he f@%$ed it up from the beginning on and his stupid brain made everything even worse. But I think Elaine won’t get mad or she already knows about that. Who wouldn’t realize that, he made the most stupidest things that he could do as doris (that a girl would never do). He ran multiple times to the boys bathroom while being doris and Elaine was all the time with him when this happened. That’s only one of very many things that he did so you could realize that kevin was actually doris.

Kevin had literally no reason to tell you a damn thing, and you’re smart enough to know that. Mad about him misleading Elaine? Fair. Mad about him not letting you in on it? Get over yourself.
I said it once and I say it again: I hate Angela. Her hatred of Kevin, I sense, comes from Angela’s lesbian feelings towards Elaine, not because she values friendship ethics so much.
She got over the WTF factor rather quickly and started judging. In her place I’d still be trying to figure out what the hell is going on exactly, because it’s actually pretty crazy. I feel she just doesn’t like Kevin and this gives her a justification for that. Buuuuut Kevin will take it because he’s Kevin. This is shaking the status quo of the series and I dig it tough 🙂
