Here we are! Page 900! Took a while to get here as page 800 was mad all the way back in November of 2023! So hooray!!!
Doesn’t help that I don’t list the pinups as pages anymore. On the bright side the jump in quality is much higher compared to the other times!
Tried going to see a movie this past friday called The Moment, but I wound up walking out of it. I wasn’t really feeling it and watching it made me kinda nauseous so I up and left and went home. Instead I’ve started watching Saint Tail! It’s cute! Too bad it’s out of print now and costs $250 like every fucking Discotek release winds up costing when it goes out of print. I hate how that always happens.
Also grabbed Lovish on the switch. It’s neat. Not as fun as Astalon but it’s a different sort of game despite still being a 2d sidescroller. Instead of a metroidvania it’s more akin to something like Solomon’s Key where you go through a room and figure out the puzzle and complete it. It does have some fun little cutscenes for whenever you beat a level that sometimes winds up costing you a life. I like it whenever Mink from Dragon Half shows up as she gives you 7 lives via cooked meat.
ALSO also bought one of those taco art books. Cracked it open today while at the bodega/coffee shop after doing some coloring in Kat. It’s got a lot of neat diagrams and junk to help with figure out anatomy and posing. I think I’m gonna put it in the rotation for my warmups and retire my previous book for now.
Anyway kinda tired and not firing on all cylinders tonight. Getting some hand shakes for some reason right now. Weird. Anyway see y’all next week.

Now not only does he have an unreliable witness, but the Magitem bit undermines the story. He has just brought in someone who is a wild card, who won’t confirm the story.

I wonder what kinda special event would happen once we reach 1k. I mean it’s very clear to me that the story is only just getting started, I wonder how long it’ll go overall, or if it’ll just keep going until Mega gets bored. Either way, I’m all here for it. Been since page 1, and I relish every new one because it just deepens the narrative, and increases in quality. It’s SO shocking to see how far Mega’s style has improved since page 1 to now. From minimalist chibi with basic colors to full blown anime with top notch shading and actual depth. What’s next, impact frames?!
Just say that that Owen is a bit of a wacko who actually believe in these things. But he is rich and can afford to travel the world after them, and fun to be around

The fun part is, she doesn’t have to believe in the magic artifacts herself. What matters to Doris’ story being believed is if *Kevin* thinks they’re real, such that he’d be wrapped up enough into taking a flight to Australia. Knowing Kevin, he probably would; and knowing Elaine, she’d probably believe Kevin would.
