Hello! How’re y’all doing tonight? I’m personally doing okay. Had my monthly therapy session tonight after being pushed back from yesterday as my therapist wasn’t feeling well.
Last Friday I went to the theater for a birthday for one of the people from the doodle club I’m in, celebrating her 30th birthday. The movie we saw was Cleaners, which is a movie from 2019 from the Philippines. It’s about a bunch of high school kids circa 2007-08, so right at the time I was a senior in high school. The movie did a great job of getting that teenage awkwardness and embarrassment. That and it also goes places. Like, uh, REALLY goes places. Such as someone performing self surgery with a pair of scissors in front of their bullies. Of course it’s a comedy so it’s still light-hearted but man was that painful to watch. What caught me off guard was they showed everything. Like, if it were made in the US you’d just be clued in on what’s about to happen but be spared from seeing it happen. But not Cleaners! If you die from second hand embarrassment the movie might be a difficult watch.
ANIME:
My copy of Saint Tail on bluray came in the other day. I had ordered it the moment I saw that it was going out of print and that Crunchyroll was taking down 100+ discotek releases because Sony fucking ruins everything it touches. I had managed to snag a used copy from Amazon for about $60~, the last one before it immediately jumped up to $250 from all the scalpers. I’m a few episodes in and it’s really cute! Especially with the Japanese audio track. I have a VHS tape that I tried watching years ago in English but it didn’t anything for me. Basically it’s master thief/magical girl/shoujo middle school romance. Even early on it’s getting to the female lead questioning what these new feelings she has for the male lead, and there’s stil like 40 something odd episodes to go!
This weekend I plan on meeting up with someone Saturday afternoon, after which that evening I’m going to a going away party for the person who had introduced my to doodle club in the first place. An eventful Saturday, I must say!

I’m betting on the idea that “Kevin” is on some sort of trip of his own and simply *forgot* to tell bestie or something… Whatever the case, shenanigans afoot.
I hate it when that happens.

I just realised that we all thought that the great reveal would happen on page #600, but Kevin messed it up and Elaine left. Now page #900 is coming up, there’s another opportunity and the preview picture was already accidentally visible publicly for a while, featuring Elaine’s shocked face. I can’t wait to see how you fooled us again and how the face is completely unrelated to this! 😀
