Between Chapter Break – Transfem Kev

Sorry for the delay but here is the colored version of the Jesse and Daphne adventure drawing! And for this week there were several people asking for a transfem Kevin drawing or something along those lines. Honestly I didn’t go back to reread the comments as I remembered like 3 people saying something along those lines and went “yeah I’ll do that this week.” I think she came out cute. Tried to stylize the hair in a way that was still very much Kevin’s and wind up looking like Madison or Kat’s hair with the flairing up look.

Hope you all had a nice halloween! My friends came over and we went to my apartment’s halloween part for a few hours before bouncing because we’re old and being in a crowd of drunk 20 somethings isn’t the greatest of times when you’re older. I did get plenty to drink and was tipsy by the end. Though honestly I could’ve easily gotten a better tipsy feeling if I went to the bodega and got this one canned cider drink for $4. The drinks at the party had a lot of ice in it. I also got a shitty hotdog but in that “I know I’m paying $3 for a shitty hotdog but dammit a shitty hotdog is exactly what I need right now” and it was satisfying.

Downside is my friend and I were unable to finish my Melfina costume, so I went without the poncho thingy. That and my wig was too short. But otherwise it was swell.

I also had a nice long weekend this weekend, having taken friday/monday/tuesday off from work. Friday I still had a bunch of Kat work to do so it wasn’t a full on day off, so really a 4 day weekend. And I don’t know about y’all, but it takes me a few days to truly feel relaxed on a long weekend. Like I didn’t get into a nice relaxation mode until yesterday afternoon when I went out and laid on a hammock and read some manga with a bottle of vanilla coke zero. Shit was BLISS! Weather was nice, vanilla coke zero in a 20oz bottle again was an nice surprise, and I reread some Comic Party which had me all going “YAY! COMICS! I LOVE MAKING COMICS!” Also bought and ate an entire large supreme pizza from Walmart. Totally worth it.

Wish I had a couple more days off to fully enjoy that restful feeling. Oh well. In a way I’m glad I went into work today. Got more cute stickers to slap on things that otherwise would have gone in the trash.

Anyway that’s all for this week. I’ll be getting started on the outline for the next chapter soon, followed by the script and storyboards. Spoiler: it’s gonna be centered around Doris and Elaine. Problem is I’m unsure how long of a chapter I can make with the ideas that I got. It might wind up on the shorter end. Then again sometimes ideas don’t come at me until I start writing the outline and talk with Cooper about it. Next thing you know it’s 16 months later and I’m going “how the hell did this little side story last so long?”
