Bodysuit 23 #888

September 10th, 2025

Sitting here going “what should I write about this week” when all of sudden I go “oh yeah I gotta get my car inspected before the end of the month.”

Anywho!

First off, as seen in the previous patreon post, this Saturday I’m doing a “Pay What Ya Want!” sketch stream to celebrate 11 years of Bodysuit 23 and also recover some of the funds used for Aisha’s teeth extraction at the vet. Once again you can read more about it here, but the short of it is that it’s gonna be entirely on picarto, it’s actual rough sketches this time so as to get to more people much quicker with an option to pay a fee later if you want it inked, and also I’m limiting the request to the equivalent of a “R” rating so I can leave the adult filter off and people can join the stream without being required to make an account. Easier that way. Sure, making an account is free and just requires an email, but I can understand how for some that might itself might be a turn off in wanting to join in.

Secondly, I am 99% sure that the current Bodysuit 23 chapter is going to end next week. I’ll be doing a two month break again so as to take it easy for a few weeks then spend the latter half doing prep work for the next chapter. Like actual prep work this time as it’s gonna be more dialogue heavy and not week to week gag bits like this go around. That and I want to try and get on the ball of having a bunch of storyboards done prior. If I can get a chapter’s worth of storyboards done before the chapter actually starts that means I might be able to get stuff done quicker and have a buffer for once!

Currently my work schedule for B23 is Monday I storyboard, Tuesday I rough and ink, and Wednesday I color and then upload. If the storyboards are already done then I could theoretically get a page done in two days and use that third day to start working on the next page. So two weeks of work will net me 3 pages. Then if I have a burnout week or sick or have something going on I can upload a page and not have to do a nonupdate or rely on a guest page! Chapters will get done quicker!

This is all theoretical, of course. Y’all know me. Good chance I’ll fuck it up somehow. BUT! I wanna give it a shot.

And with that, this means this next break I’ll just do 1 pinup a week for 8 weeks, all of them being Patreon backer requests. I’ll forgo the “my choice” pinup and instead just, ya know, work on the comic itself! Get shit done! YEAH!!

When that final page goes out I’ll put up the post for people to submit ideas. They can be NSFW in nature unlike the stream this Saturday, so don’t worry about censoring yourself. I can just work on it at home and then do the comic work while I’m at work.

That’s all for this week! Hope to see some of y’all Saturday!

Full marks for an entirely correct answer.
But also zero marks! Extremely useless!
Leave it to Miranda to give basically a perfect textbook answer that doesn’t help Doris in the slightest.

    1. Miseris says:

To be fair, textbook answers never really helped me either. It’s the similar experience of others, that helped me understand myself better. But also that’s the thing. Using words like “trans”, categorising people, is really doing a disservice to the personal exploration. I think that people shouldn’t really care about if they are or are not trans, they should care what they enjoy and want from potential transition.

“The one who decides what kind of person they are is you and you alone”.
I love that. That’s such a great line, and I hope one day we can move on from having to count ourselves as destined to be something as a defence to freely celebrating everyone’s choices to expore and be the people they want to be, whenever they want.

In Canada where I am, the “R” rating is “18+ only”, so this sentence momentarily surprised me :p

This scene is 100% 90s anime. I can imagine hearing this exchange in a show, completely with the punchline.

(Character says something wise… but useless)

  5. Natalie says:

    Yeah I mean she’s not *wrong*…
But I’m preeeetty sure Doris just needed a second person to say she’s probably trans though.

call angela , she can have a solid conversation with kevin

    1. They Who Abide says:

She can, but will she want to?

Such a great comic. Found it 2 days ago and now got through all there is for me to read everything I could. And my god both seeing Doris only know even hear about trans people and starting to question herself feels so damn relateable. God how could I have been so oblivious to some things about my identity only to realise how obvious that identity was for me and how many things I said, thought or did clearly were signs I should have noticed. But oh well I think that this is probably something most queer people expirience in some way or another.
