Fun fact: I’m wearing that outfit RIGHT NOW AS I TYPE THIS!

Or, well, was. I took off my hoodie.

Got my Switch 2! Had a bit of a scare as Walmart delivered it to my work at like 6:45 AM. Thankfully one of the press guys who comes in at 6 was hanging around outside when they pulled up and grabbed it for me so it wasn’t just sitting around outside. That drive to work sure did suck ass! Also Walmart gave a free can of sour cream and onion pringles and a bottle of orange flavored coke. Gave the coke to my coworker while I ate the chips for breakfast as he didn’t want them.

Mario Kart World is fun. I’ve mostly been sticking with free roaming as a means of bumming around playing a game without having to think (because I sure as hell need to turn my brain off a lot recently!) and knock out. Honestly I’ve been preferring knock out over grand prix since since it’s one nonstop race until you get knocked out or win. With grand prix you gotta stop and wait for the next race to start which is a bit of a drag. Even so it’s still way faster having a race start in an online match than it was in Mario Kart 8. I wound up bouncing off it partly due to how you’d have a race and then get kicked back into the menu to vote for the next map.

Also since I got the switch 2 bundle with Mario Kart World as a digital copy I might hop on it more whereas with Mario Kart 8 I had the cartridge. I still prefer cartridge over digital copies, but something like Mario Kart is better off digital, that way you have your main game you’re playing loaded up but then can swap over to Mario Kart for a race or two without having to swap games.

Tried Zelda Tears of the Kingdom briefly for that higher framerate. It was neat, but I probably won’t be going back to it for a while. Instead, of all things, I popped Prinny 1 and 2: Exploaded and Reloaded of all games again. Went right back to where I left off in 1 some years back. Wanting to play 2 again as the last time I played it was on PSP back in like 2013. It was cool playing a game where a bodysuit was a main focal point of the plot!

That’s all for this week!

Real commitment to the bit would have been to put the hoodie back on, type the first sentence of the description and then take it back off.

  2. edgar mayoral says:

ok the level of ignorance on kevin part is kinda insulting

    1. Staren says:

See comment below, this is pretty believable. It is really easy, and especially was pre-COVID, to not know you’re trans and learn basically nothing about trans people despite a lifelong interest in gender-bending stories…

  3. SevenFerns says:

Crazy that Doris never learned about trans people, considering her whole deal.

    1. Staren says:

Not counting Rocky Horror’s use of the word “transsexual” in a song lyric, the first I heard of trans people was in 2004 or so — Misfile mentioning it briefly, and I started reading Venus Envy. But at the time, the description of gender dysphoria I could find said people who have it feel like they’re *supposed* to be a girl, and that wasn’t me, and I was left with the vague impression that trans people were super rare. Like maybe a handful of people in the world. I hoped for their sake that they looked androgynous, since surgery can’t change some things…

Yes, Venus Envy mentioned HRT, but I somehow forgot; I’ve found a few signs that my brain was erasing trans stuff from my memory around this time.

And while the media has been making fun of trans women for a long time, it didn’t *call* us that until recently — so I never made the connection that the dude-in-a-dress stock character was *supposed* to be bigoted writers’ conception of trans women. But I *did* feel like I’d be that ridiculous if I ever dressed or acted feminine, so I never experimented with gender presentation.

On April 23rd, 2021, the day after my 36th birthday, I learned that HRT existed and saw trans timelines (after days of starting to look into trans stuff online after hearing about ‘agender’ and thinking that might be me, because I knew being a guy wasn’t important to me but didn’t yet consciously realize how important being a girl *was*) and *yeah*. THE TURN-INTO-A-GIRL-PILLS ARE REAL?! 100% relatable.

  4. ReasonableWeeb says:

Honestly don’t know what I expected, but in all fairness Kevin would be forgiven for not knowing what HRT is. I mean it was first made (according to Google) in the 1960’s but didn’t start seeing use until around about 1990. However it’s only REALLY been become more widely known as of the last decade or so, so Kevin not knowing about it wouldn’t be that unheard of.

I would say that Kevin wouldn’t have even known about HRT because he didn’t do his research on the subject because it wasn’t mainstream until about 10 or so years ago which is when the comic first started, but time in the comic world doesn’t pass like ours. In fact I think he’s been the same age since the beginning barring maybe A birthday off screen.

Also to be fair, the dude has a bodysuit that full-on gender-swaps him at a moments notice without a single ounce of medicine or therapy and can be done so instantaneously instead of gradually over a period of weeks/months/years depending on how your body takes to it. If I could choose between becoming a woman instantly, but temporarily because of the suit vs permanently but at a painstakingly long adjustment period, I’d always, 100% go for the suit.

    1. Lilith says:

      Google again…
HRT was actually already used in the 1920s. In Berlin in Germany there was the “Magnus Hirschfeld Institut für Sexualwissenschaft” which translates to Magnus Hirschfeld institute for sexual research. hirschfeld himself researched HRT and reassignmet surgeries and was actually really sucessful.

This Institute was also the very first casualty of the book burnings of the Nazis, which is why so few people know about the Institute.

We’d probably be a lot further in transgender science if all that knowledge from the institute wasn’t destroyed by the nazis.

      1. ReasonableWeeb says:

Alright, no need to be smug about it. I googled “When was HRT invented” and google gave me this by the NIH:

The history of hormone replacement therapy (HRT) started in the 1960s, with very high popularity in the 1990s. The first clinical trials on HRT and chronic postmenopausal conditions were started in the USA in the late 1990s.

Not my fault it didn’t tell me specifically when it was invented. I can’t help it when google dances around my question.

        1. Steph says:

I think what the article refers to is HRT for post menopausal women. HRT for trans people has been around since since the first surgery back in the 1950s.

I would like to mention that for some, you can bypass the hrt and surgery. There are these things called subliminals 0 a geric term that includes both subliminal messaging and something called Rife frequencies. There are many to be found on youtube. Just be aware they are not fast, and they don’t work for everyone, you have to have the proper mindset. They are (mostly) working for me. Not just for trans, also for various healing tasks. Just google “subliminals mtf” or whatever you are looking for in particular (or search directly from youtube).

        2. Lilith says:

          could’ve worded myself better, sorry
i didn’t mean, that you should google again.
i meant the typical sentence when someone shakes their head and say “XXX again” when XXX does dumb stuff again.

i hope my though process is cemprehensible

  5. catball says:

yeeeep I frickin’ called it that this would be the “introduce Doris to the concept of being trans” arc lol

  6. Fran says:

Have been reading this comic since like 2015/16 if I am remembering right, but haven’t commented in the site once because of my insecurities regarding gender, and some paranoia of somebody I know somehow finding this.

And being fair to Kevin, I don’t exactly how much time has happened in world, sometimes you kinda heard of a concept or idea, like people not liking their gender for any reason, and somehow still not connect the dots that changing is possible, even if by all means you should know, sometimes you just get presented to that idea later in life.

Heck in my case I didn’t knew anyone trans until like 6 years ago me being 20 years old back then, and didn’t confront my feelings seriously until last year.

Sorry if this is a long comment and for any instances of broken english, I just wanted to say that this comic means a lot to me and seeing this point in which Kevin finally connects the dots and may decide to present feminine without the suit, it makes me happy, happy enough to decide to comment here.

    Have a good day everybody

Also for anyone curious I have told my close family, and happily they are supporting even if somewhat confused.

  7. im a cat, meow :3 says:

wait Doris you’ve been doing gender shenanigans with that bodysuit and you didnt know about HRT!? lol. i want them girl pills

  8. Mithril Mercenary says:

Elaine is going to be heart broken when she returns and finds that the guy she’s been crushing on for so long is actually a girl deep down.

Also, Miranda has a new experiment to perform; The effects of Hormone Replacement Therapy while wearing the bodysuit.

  9. Big Boss Metal Gear Solid Big Boss says:

It’s me Big Boss, Big Boss Metal Gear Solid, play it now, Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater Big Boss.

  10. Samantha says:

“Fun fact: I’m wearing that outfit RIGHT NOW AS I TYPE THIS!”

But do you look that baggy near your eyes? (If so, get some rest…)

    1. Avatar photo Patricia Barton says:

      Yes.

  11. Natalie says:

It’s happening. Everybody stay calm! It’s happening!!

  12. anna says:

    i still prefer body suit

  13. SaraRose says:

The direction the story is taking makes me think that the what if of page 693 and 694 might become reality in some ways. Kevin, realizing she’s trans, laments the day she has to take the bodysuit off and begins HRT while suited. By the year’s end she takes the bodysuit off, nervous but excited to see the changes. https://bodysuit23.mehgazone.com/2022/09/02/bodysuit-23-694/

I just hope she can have a beautiful trans lesbian relationship with her friend when she returns from school.

  14. Lyra says:

Patrick should look into electrolysis, it’s a true lifesaver for dealing with hair of the face!!

  15. Emily says:

Glad too see this going exactly as ridiculously as i expected

  16. StoryTeller says:

“because I sure as hell need to turn my brain off a lot recently!” Wow, same here =) I guess we’re alike in that way 😉
