Heya! I’d like to ask a question please! (Sorry this isn’t exactly relevant to the page lol) I found your comic pretty recently and I’ve gotta say I think you’ve done a really good job! But I wanted to ask because it’s been very confusing: is this a trans story? Or is Kevin definitely cis? Sorry to ask lol, I’m sure you’re tired of answering this, but I know this comic has a large trans following, yet from what I’ve heard both the authors on this are cis guys (?) I’m just currently looking to read more transfem comics, not cis dude genderbenders. (Tho again this is good, just possibly not what I’m looking for right now)
When it started and for years I’ve said it was a fetish story, but as the years gone on now I’d say it’s a trans story, albeit a dumb one. Also I’m the only author. I do have a friend who helps with feedback and editing, but it’s still my work.
ok, thanks! I thought there was a difference between like, artist and script writer or smth because I usually saw you referenced as the artist. Knowing this, are there like, any specific pronouns/names I should think of the protagonist with?
If I had to guess, it’s probably super dependent on if the suit is on or off. When off, probably “Kevin” with male pronouns, and when on, “Doris” with female. Idk, seems pretty straightforward in this case lol ¯_(ツ)_/¯
As an egg myself who just found this comic (and read it all in the last two days), I would call it a trans comic. I’m not Kevin and Kevin hasn’t told us if Kevin is trans, but Kevin obviously likes to be a girl.
If I were to classify the comic, I’d call it trans with heavy slice of life and sci-fi themes.
Personally, I still view it as a fetish story, and not a true trans story. But I’m just a cis guy, so I might not be able to accurately identify it as a trans story without it getting incredibly more obvious.
It helps that Jesse never sticks around long enough to get pulled over, so being without it for five years is definitely true.
Jesse’s really tempting fate with that comment
Dun dun dunnnnnn! Cue siren and the one cop in town with snow tires.
Unless Texas cops have tracked vehicles, I doubt they’ll do much traffic policing in these moments.
I mean it’s an old jeep so it probably has some form of exceptions
No space minute to do something in the last 5 years? Yeah, I know that feeling…
"where’s your windshield?"
"It’s a Jeep thing, you wouldn’t understand"
where’s your windscreen?
i lost it in kambodia under heavy fire from the locals
Bite your tongue, Miranda. The Fates might be listening, and you’re not having a good day. (Try not to be contagious, huh?)
Those old jeeps can’t go fast enough to need a windshield anyway
oh my god xdd
Texas truly is a lawless wasteland.
That’s the smell of freedom, my friend! 😀
The fact that Jesse just said that he’s never been pulled over guarantees that, even during the apocalypse, he gets pulled over.
