Sparx is basically Spark from Record of Lodoss War (hence the name) wearing a very slightly modified version of Parn’s armor, while Celcia is loosely based off Deedlit’s armor with the large ball earrings that were popular with fantasy anime in general at the time.
Unless I’m mistaken, both Celcia and Sparx’s designs are based on Lina Inverse and Gourry Gabriev from Slayers.
Hopefully Celcia won’t end casting a Dragon Slave when she is only starting to remember magic…..
