It’s an exploration on what Miranda had to do to get funding for the project. And, as long as the vast majority of government officials at this rank are men, my disbelief is quite well suspended.
Unexpected dull last part of the story. But okay, since it is a backstory from Miranda, it is very likely that she was "normally" successful with her project, until the sudden accident from later on.
If that’s what it took to get government funding… <cue music:> She works hard for the money So hard for it, honey She works hard for the money So you better treat her right!
This was an interesting series of comics – really cool to see a familiar character in a different art style, relying entirely on visual storytelling without a dialogue narrative!
Soooo, it’s that an approbation to her project? A "happy" ending?
