Sophia, the eye change has been shown once before, but not in nearly as much detail. See comic #241. You can see one brown and one blue eye, interestingly, the opposite of this time. The noises are also similar to that time, making me think this might be a normal suiting up shown in extra detail, but I hope you’re right and some twist happens.
He really does change personality a little as well. I’m sure the transformation is not just a layer on top of Kevin. Plus that reaction, you do realize that this is how you train animals? You reward them with happiness or pleasure in the form of petting or scratching. Kevin should be conditioned by now by the suit. It’s not a small thing to experience such pleasure in your life. His way of thinking and his impulses would change. We’re all animals on a basic level!

I wonder if the urk and the hnngh sounds make him feel the sensations or the body suit is making it stuck to him forever
this looks like it’s building to a nice twist of sorts. I look forward to seeing where this goes.
PS I think this is the first time we have seen the eyes change nice to see that not just handwaved.
