So if Kevin was always acting like his normal self the entire time…It makes me wonder how we would have acted if he somehow got amnesia while wearing the bodysuit early on and never realized it? Seeing how his personality would change in that situation would make for a good non-canon story.
This would be an interesting idea, but there are a couple of things that would prevent this from changing the story too much. That being that the suit has a pretty obvious zipper on the back, which even if he didn’t notice somebody else quickly would, and that the moment Miranda showed up she’d immediately reveal it’s a suit and get him out of it if he hadn’t somehow already figured it out by then. I think that probably the only major change would be that Elaine would probably become the first person to find out instead of the last, since she knows where Kevin lives and would become worried if he stopped showing up to college or calling her, and then confused when she discovers a woman with a zipper on her back living in Kevin’s house.
That’s why I suggested it as a non-canon story, like the halloween chapters.
Plus a zipper on the back isn’t an exact indicator of it being a suit, as its possible for Kevin to interpret it as a form of body modification that she unknowingly did to herself before coming down with amnesia.

But at least Owen’s kinda cool with it. Maybe a little embarrassed that he liked the dorky Doris not knowing it was just dorky Kevin with a gender swap. So yeah, awkwaaaard.
Yeah it is hella awkward but at the se time it’s also pretty dang cute seeing these two finally interact with each other, WITHOUT Kevin needing to wear Doris.
