I have a feeling that he is only going to see her pulling away and never going to get to say goodbye.
It will have to be that way to make things more dramatic if she believes he forgot to see her one last time. What’s the point in the story if there isn’t a little drama or tension involved once in a while?
bro I feel actually bad for him rn! mostly cuz I’ve had a similar experience happen to me. hopefully the same doesn’t happen to Kevin or imma be very heccin sad.
Kevin arrives just too late to say goodby to Elaine, but Angela is there and she rips into Kevin claiming that he chickened out telling Elaine the truth.
That’s definitely a possibility. However, i suspect that he’ll make it just for her to say how weird he’s been and how he’s avoided her (this being because Kevin has been Doris for an extended amount of time) and then Elaine is forced to leave, thus leaving Kevin alone with Angela.
A very sad episode. Especially the last panel. We can feel Kevin’s anguish and shame and wish him to arrive on time. But the image of dark, empty street, his lonely figure running into the distance and quite a long way to go, subtlety suggest he may fail to say his last goodbye. There is a tiny bit of hope, though, but it’s very small. The image spot of Elaine waving goodbye adds to the melancholic mood.
Oh neat, that’s Elaine’s first on-screen outfit!
