An artist or writer is almost always their own harshest critic, but there are times to put the wet noodle down and spare yourself the lashes.
As for the size of the eyes? Heck, I figured that your characters’ expressions, the eyes especially, are mobile. The eyes are sometimes huge in surprise, shock, joy, etc., so it figured that if Kevin is feeling nervous and probably a bit scared of what’s coming, his eyes betray that emotion by "shrinking". Why not? 🙂

I read something like 30 webcomics. Every morning, I right-click to open that bookmark folder, heedlessly ignoring my browser’s warning about opening too many tabs at once. And of all the ones I read, this is the one that I look forward to most.
The range of emotions that this comic has brought out in me is immense. But it’s also incredibly cathartic. Seeing my own hopes and anxieties expressed in such a vivid and emotive art style is touching in an incredibly personal way, even though I’ve never met the artist and probably never will.
I know we’re all our worst critics. I’m guilty of it myself. But I hope you’ll take this post and others like it as encouragement to push that aside during the moments when you need the personal strength. We all appreciate you.
Adding more support here. When was the last time you looked at the first page of this comic? The difference in quality is staggering. You’ve improved by leaps and bounds, and that’s something to be proud of. You never realize how far you’ve come because you keep raising the bar.
I think the idea of being able to sleep in her own house has given her the energy to put up with Kevin. All it takes is a good night sleep at home and you’ll be ready for anything
