  1. Weredraco says:

Well…. at least Miranda has friends, right?

    ….right?

But yeah, good question from Doris.

    1. Oscar says:

      Friends?

How about her benefactor, the one that’s has Owen working for her? She’s an acquaintance, at least, and being so good a copy of her, she’d probably confuse her as the real Miranda and the two would end up in a situation where they blurt out to each other that they’re not what they seem to be (Doris acting too awkward to be the real Miranda, but not fast enough to have her benefactor blurt out about the project).

That sounds like the real fate-tempting.

      1. CommandoNX says:

That one woman won’t confuse… she’s pulling all the strings after all

  2. SageM says:

And that Miranda is what we call Tempting Fate.

You just know that Doris is going to run into one of Miranda’s friends now that she said all that. Well I guess that’s chance you take when sealed into the bodysuit for the next 6 months.

  3. 876546u says:

And that’s, what we in the industry, call foreshadowing.

  4. Marg says:

So there’s something these two have in common: a pronounced lack of friends in the vicinity, although Kevin/Doris is one-up in that department now that he/she can count Owen as a friend. (Given time, maybe Miranda will accept him as one as well, though she obviously resents having him assigned to her by Jade.) Guess both of ’em need to work on their social skills, eh?

And full marks to our "hero" for acknowledging the super weirdness of it all. 🙂

    1. Larry says:

Both Miranda and Kevin are pretty much alike in that they have a tendency not to make many friends and they tend to be introverted people that most people may miss or choose not pay attention to them, they may be at the party, but, nobody remembers them. However, when Kevin get into the bodysuit and becomes Doris, he goes extroverted and he the life of the party and everyone know that she there too. She even has a boyfriend Owen’s and she knows it too and but, as Kevin, he didn’t know that he had a girlfriend and didn’t even see her as a girlfriend even until just before she left for New York City. Kevin is more in tune with being a girlfriend to Owen than being a boyfriend to Elaine.

  5. Fabian says:

Even encountering the friends of the person who’s body you’re in could work out, as seen in "Your name". 🙂
But of course, knowing Kevin, there’s a 101% chance of messing something up.

  6. Headlock1_0 says:

That is something I’ve wondered in passing a few times over the years. Miranda is spectacularly indifferent about the weirdness of the whole thing. You would think there would be some kind of negative emotions toward the situation, but there’s just…nothing? Maybe she’s just really good at compartmentalizing about it. Maybe she’s so obsessed with her work that she can’t think negatively about it because it would stray into a sort of “did I choose the right path” question. Maybe she’s just eccentric. Maybe I’m just overthinking this and it’s just for simplicity of writing.

All I can say for certain is that I need sleep. Badly.

Good page. I enjoyed the character development. Especially since we haven’t had a whole lot of peaks into Miranda’s thoughts.

    1. Core1948 says:

Bro, what’s this “sleep” thing you speak of?

      1. Headlock1_0 says:

        Lol

  7. DaNic says:

Wow, Kevin is actually giving this some thought and also trying to be considerate.
I also like Miranda being open and speaking her mind.

    Really like this page.

  8. Font says:

<3 I would have expected her to just say "I have no friends."

  9. kokodin says:
