After Lune didn’t make it past the finals last week, I decided to take the weekend off as to deal with my mental health and fear of the future on top of my sense of feeling like a failure for the nth time. As I did, I tried my hand at sketching up a storyboard for a Kat webtoon as a means of being productive and trying the format out. I don’t want to jinx it and announce anything, lest it burns out before I have anything ready to show, but here’s a fun little rough from it.

I know setbacks are frustrating–been there, done that, and burned the T-shirt to destroy the evidence–but you should NEVER feel as though you’re a failure. That you are most definitely not! Go ahead and take that breather, recoup and regroup. (And thanks for sharing this sneak peek.)

And yet you still think you’re a failure?
Your "setback" was because some arbitrary group of people decided other works were better than yours. That doesn’t mean yours is bad, simply means that that group of people has different taste.
The point is simply that there’s just a part of the world’s population who don’t see obvious things. Like how good your work is.
Don’t let yourself be diminished by the whims of others. You do a great job, constantly.
Rest whenever you feel like it. It’s alright to feel like failure many many many times, but come back later as a champ. Accept that negative feelings, but scold it back later when you’re feeling better.
