That’s not a good sign. And Miranda should have know to wear something warmer to bed, especially without how Doris was acting and going on in the last comic.
Welcome to Texas, Miranda. The state that loves freedom so much, it has freedoms the rest of the country can’t even imagine, like the freedom to freeze to death in your own home.
Yeah, that’s why it’s getting really popular now to get gas stoves and gas fireplaces. My family had the only gas stove and gas fireplace in the neighborhood and we were the only ones who had a house with any internal warmth. We extended an offer to the neighbors that when it freezes they can come over to our house if they lose power or heat. Natural gas! When power fails gas keeps going! My family even got a gas generator right after the freeze.
How bad can it be? Is it like -5°C to -10°C? Or is it more like -20°C? If the first, then you should be fine for a few hours without electricity, The house shouldn’t get cold that much that fast, wear some thick clothes and sleep under thick… bedding? Idk how to name it. Anyway, it’s not really that bad. When it’s the second, you’re screwed.
For a moment I thought this was Doris, which left me wondering why the bodysuit wasn’t making her more comfortable. After all, usually it’s Doris who leaves clothes on the floor and sleeps bottomless.
Going to be an interesting reversal as to who’s the complainer.
Went 27 days without power during an Ice Storm in VT back @ ’98. Made it thru thanks to a wood stove, a cord of wood, and my camping stove. Our next house had a gas log stove and a Renai gas heater independent of the main heating system. Had a few outages, but they only lasted hours, rather than weeks.

Ah, Texas’ famous electrical system once again goes fritz.
Yep. In Texas, you don’t go off the grid, the grid goes off you.

"It’s just snow," she said.
"Such a miniscule amount doesn’t warrant such a severe response," she said.
I recommend eating those words with a dash or two of Tobasco. At least your tongue will be warm.

Uh-oh

You were warned.
Snuggle for warmth!
