The same can be said about Angela to Kevin though. I agree that she has been unreasonable, but at the same time I happen to know how aggressively ‘romantic’ the nerd crowd can be. ‘Nice guys’ and Incels are typically stereotyped as nerds for a reason. Granted, yes Kevin hasn’t shown such tendencies and Angela has certainly kept him at arm’s length until now, but one night of deeper talk is not going to lower walls.
I guess. It’s just that Angela has A) been aggressively antagonistic to Kevin when he’s, y’know, actually Kevin, and 2) just spent a few pages acting like Kevin should have told her and Elaine about the suit. Elaine, yes, because they’re long-time besties, but I’m given to understand that Angela’s only ever been nice to Kevin when he’s presenting as Doris. That’s why I’m less happy with her right now.
Kevin has been a jerk for the entirety of the comic before Angela even showed up. He was lying before Miranda ever came onto the scene when he would have had a chance to break the news to Elaine. He could have said something, drop hints, before Miranda pointed out why he couldn’t. This is a deconstruction of Kevin’s character, and it’s firmly needed.
You doing that got really annoying to the point that I’m now making comments require approval before appearing. I’ve got enough going on in my life right now and I don’t need you adding more to it.
While I like what she’s saying, it’s really hard to be on Angela’s side with this when she’s just been outright bitchy the entire comic so far. Not to mention that she hates Kevin with no real rhyme or reason
She gave a fair reason to not be interested in him as a friend in the last page and then just decimated him on both pages. Angela’s hate for Kevin is completely justified. Being a protagonist doesn’t protect Kevin from being a dick and keeping secrets and not thinking about his best friend.
And speaking of Elaine… She’s been hanging around Artists’ Alley all this time (since #489, in fact), waiting for Kevin to shower and change, as well as check on how Angela was doing. Poor kid must be half-starving by now AND still doesn’t know if Angela is alright. If either of these two chuckleheads want to show how much they care about Elaine, somebody needs to be thinking about her in the here and now. Poor, poor, hungry child…
Honestly, it’s a common occurrence in the anime Kevin watches for the protagonist to be oblivious to the fact that someone harbors romantic interest in them. That he’s fallen victim to this is something that both obvious and worthy of being lampshaded to hell and back. Just don’t let Angela be the one to do it, because she hasn’t earned that yet.
It’s interesting that after Angela said that, she decided to withhold information. Given her tendency to think things out in advanced, she probably already figured Kevin isn’t ready and would make things worse. It may very well be a chance to show when information should be withheld.
Oh, for fucks sake . . . Kevin👏Has👏No👏Reason👏To👏Trust👏You👏Angela👏You👏Drunken👏Hater👏!

Me thinks that Elaine has a crush on Kevin, but he’s too HIRO to notice.
10 points to Gryffindor if you get that reference.
Hm . . .
Do you think Elaine is going to express her feeling to Kevin?
Great 2-part animated youtube series
10 points for Weredraco
LightSoul must catch the rebound in order to make a comeback this round.
I really want to make that long ass commentary but it always gets take down.
I really can do nothing about it.

True, but she’s hated him for nearly the entire comic so far. I can’t justify her feelings for the entire time by this one revelation now.
who knew that being horny a year ago on e-hentai would lead to finding this comic and becoming so invested in these characters
keep up the good work mega
BIG FACTS
Not wrong lol, it’s how I find a startling number of good webcomics

This is a case of: "The label is outside of the glass and you are inside"
Kevin does not see what other people see because of his situation.

HE IS AS DENSE AS OSMIUM!
Btw osmium is denser then lead, but is MUCH rarer.
Plotwist! She’s one of them badguys and is only using him for info.

Look, Angela…’Dense’ is Kevin’s primary character trait. He can’t help it.
Kevin ‘Dense’ Whateverhislastnameis
Oh ho ho! Look who’s keeping secrets now…
Maybe Elaine prefers girls which is why she’s always keen to dress Kevin up?
I love the style, it borrows directly from anime
